I am a little late to this party, but the chapter was very interesting. The evolution of writing is quite amazing, especially in the English language. Technology has rabidly increased the evolution of writing. With texting, emailing and social media, writing has become preferred over actual talking in some instances. Many people will not answer phone calls but they will answer to a text. Many employers prefer email than an actual meeting, and many people will wish their friends happy birthday on social media, but wont go to the birthday party being held later that evening, Writing is communication, and if we want to succeed in this world, we better be excellent writers.
