This article was interesting. It presented some interesting points of how moving from primary written representation to representation through images. I see both sides of the argument, and I think we just have to trust society to make both a priority. Too often society feels it has to be one way or the other when in reality the best result comes from integrating both. The argument that speech and writing tell the world and imagery shows the world was a good point made by her, thus again why I do not feel we will ever have a loss of one or the other. Some things can not be told and some things can not be shown, there is a need for both.

I thought this article was really good. It was interesting to see it from an "older" perspective. There was some interesting facts about how the internet began, I have always had the internet in my life so it does not seem like a new thing to me.  There are still those select few of the "older" generation that do not appreciate the internet.  Some people say that the internet takes away from interpersonal communication,but I think that there are more benefits than downsides to the internet. Overall, the internet has made us more interactive, even though there are some social downsides that we can overcome.

I am a little late to this party, but the chapter was very interesting. The evolution of writing is quite amazing, especially in the English language. Technology has rabidly increased the evolution of writing. With texting, emailing and social media, writing has become preferred over actual talking in some instances. Many people will not answer phone calls but they will answer to a text. Many employers prefer email than an actual meeting, and many people will wish their friends happy birthday on social media, but wont go to the birthday party being held later that evening, Writing is communication, and if we want to succeed in this world, we better be excellent writers.
